Police identify victim of shooting at Taylor Homes

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Authorities have identified the man they said was shot at Walter P. Taylor Homes late Tuesday night, but they added the victim isn't cooperating.

According to a Knoxville Police spokesperson, Derrick Lamont Perry, 33, was shot in lot Q of the homes around 11:30 p.m. Officers responding to reports of shots fired found several shell casing and said a vehicle and the door of an empty apartment were hit.

Later, they learned that someone had dropped off Perry at Fort Sanders Hospital with a gunshot wound. He refused to give investigators an information.
