Police investigate shooting at Jackson Wal-Mart

JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) -- Police in Jackson say a woman was shot in the parking lot of a Jackson Wal-Mart in a domestic situation and her husband has been taken into custody.

The Jackson Sun reported that police said the woman was shot around 11 a.m. on Tuesday and her condition was serious.

Madison County Sheriff David Woolfolk told The Associated Press in an email that his agency is assisting the Jackson Police and that the husband of the victim is being held. Neither the victim nor her husband has been identified.
