Police searching for man who robbed Clinton gas station

CLINTON, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Authorities in Clinton are searching for a man who robbed a BP Station on N. Charles G. Seviers Blvd. late Wednesday morning.

According to the Clinton Police Dept., a man in his forties walked into the gas station and asked for a pack of cigarettes. He then showed the clerk a black semi-automatic hand gun tucked in his waistband and handed the clerk a note.

Witnesses told police the man was driving a green Mercury minivan with no tags. He was last seen wearing black shoes, brown pants, and a blue long sleeve shirt.
