KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Knoxville Police Dept. is searching for the man who robbed a west Knoxville convenience store late Wednesday night.
According to KPD spokesperson Darrell DeBusk, officers were called to the Bread Box Food Store, 7501 Middlebrook Pike, around 11:30 p.m.
He said a man came into the store and grabbed an item, which he took to the counter. When the clerk started to ring him up, the man pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun and grabbed cash from the register before running out the back.
The suspect was described an a white man in his late 20's or early 30's, about six feet tall with a thin build, short sandy-blonde or brown hair, and clean shaven. He was wearing a blue button-up long sleeve shirt and jeans.
