KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Knoxville Police Dept. has identified the man wanted in connection with a stabbing at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1733. Robert Lee Brown is accused of stabbing a patron after returning to the post, 734 N. Fourth St., just after midnight Sunday morning.

A police spokesperson said an Aggravated Assault warrant has been issued for his arrest and, once he is captured, Brown will be held on a $25,000 bond. Anyone with information is asked to call the Knoxville Police Dept.'s crime information line at 865-215-7212.

Before the stabbing, bar staff reportedly tried to get the 46 year-old to leave the post and go home in a cab, but the cab driver said the man had no money. When he came back into the bar, Brown allegedly stabbed one of the bar patrons who approached him.

The victim Michael Delaney, 19, was taken to UT Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
