Police seek suspect in bank, general store robberies

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Authorities are searching for the man they believe robbed a Sevierville bank in mid-November and is also suspected of robbing the same Dollar General store twice last month.

They said the man held up the Mountain National Bank on Winfield Dunn Parkway on November 17. Witnesses described him as a heavy-set man, in his late 20's to mid-30's, between 5'10" and 6'2" and weighing around 210 to 240 lbs.

He is also suspected of robbing the Dollar General Store in Boyd's Creek Highway about a week before the bank robbery and again on November 28. The first time he reportedly used a gun, while the second time witnesses said he brought in a knife.
