HAMBLEN COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Tennessee Arson Hotline is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrests and convictions related to recent fires.

The Hamblen County Sheriff's Department says seven fires have been set in the Anderson Bend Road area since February, three have happened just this month.

Deputies say the fires have been set in fields and wooded areas, affecting 50 to 60 acres of TVA property, as well as personally owned property. No buildings have burned.

“It’s only a matter of time before someone gets hurt. These fires aren’t a joke. We take the danger to our citizens and their property very seriously,” says Det. Lieutenant David Stapleton.
