Routine traffic stop leads to marijuana bust in Morristown

MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Morristown police officers pulled over a car Friday for an seatbelt violation, and officers say they discovered 31.7 grams marijuana after gaining consent to search the car.

24-year-old Nicholas Everhart, formally of Morristown but now lives in Creswell, Oregon, was arrested on the scene.

Morristown police officers then went to the house Everhart was staying, and officers say they discovered 19.5 pounds of marijuana in the house after the residents gave consent for the search.
