Suspect in custody after standoff in Campbell County | UPDATE

WOOLRIDGE, Tenn. (WVLT)- The Campbell County Sheriff's Office has the robbery suspect in custody.

Deputies say they arrested James Clifford Thomas, 33, Sunday night at his home on Old Wooldridge Pike.

They tell us they had been searching for him for two days after he was accused of stealing a 4-wheeler and tractor and broke into a church.

Thomas is currently on parole for a pharmacy robbery in Kentucky.

Deputies were tipped off about his location Sunday afternoon.

Sheriff Robbie Goins says, "Tactics were used by our professionals that put the suspect in custody without incident or harm to him or anyone on our team. We won, thankfully. Thomas's terroristic criminal history in the Campbell County Jellico area and Kentucky are enough to make people sick and tired of being sick and tired."

A SWAT team is at a home in the Wooldridge Community in Campbell County.

Jellico City officials confirm a robbery suspect has barricaded himself inside the home.

Police have been searching for him for two days.

Campbell County Sheriff's Department is the main agency handling this. Jellico Police are assisting.

Old Wooldridge Pike is shut down.

We have a crew on scene and will bring you more details as they become available.
