KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Authorities are searching for the man suspected of robbing a First Tennessee Bank on Western Ave. Monday afternoon.
Officials said the suspect walked into the bank around 2:45 p.m. and handed the teller a note demanding money. He then allegedly reached across the counter and took money from the teller area. He then fled the bank and left the scene in a mid-90's burgundy sedan.
Witnesses described the suspect as a black man, between 20 and 25, approximately 5'4" to 5'6", with a thin build. He was reportedly wearing a dark colored baseball hat with "CAL" written across the front, a dark hooded sweatshirt, a dark vest, and black jeans.
The Knoxville Division of the FBI and the Knoxville Police Dept. said a reward is being offered for information that leads to the suspect's arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call the Knoxville FBI at 865-544-0751 or KPD at 865-215-7212
