Sevierville Police searching for vending machine bandits

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) --The Sevierville Police Dept. is asking the public for its help tracking down two suspects they believe are responsible for a string of vending machine robberies throughout the city.

The robberies took place mostly at hotels in the Kodak area along Highway 66, according to Det. Ray Brown. He said they think the pair are responsible for around eight burglaries over the past two months, adding that not only have they made off with around a thousand dollars, but they have also caused several thousand dollars worth of damage to the machines.

Anyone with information concerning these reported vending machine burglaries is requested to contact Detective Brown at 865-453-5506.
