PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Sevierville man stands accused of being involved in two hit and run accidents before authorities caught up with him and he was charged with his fourth DUI, according to the Severville Police Dept.

In addition to the DUI, Joseph James Faircloth was charged with two counts each of Vehicular Assault and Leaving the Scene of an Injury Accident as well as a Violation of Implied Consent.

According to police reports, the 31 year-old was pulled over by a Pigeon Forge Police Officer investigating a hit and run on Collier Drive and Veterans Blvd. Faircloth reportedly admitting to hitting the other vehicle and that he had been drinking.

Police also connected Faircloth to another wreck on Ernest McMahan Road. The victim in that incident had to be rushed to the emergency room by ambulance.

The arresting officer also said Faircloth refused to submit to a field sobriety test and created a scene at the hospital, where he was taken for a blood test. He was then transported to the Sevier Co. Jail.
