SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Sevierville Police Dept. is searching for the man who robbed the Covingtion Credit late Wednesday afternoon.
An employee told investigators a man walked into the lending institution, 907 Dolly Parton Pkwy., and demanded money. He then allegedly grabbed an employee's head and slammed it against a counter before receiving an undisclosed amount of money and taking off on foot.
The employee reportedly wasn't hurt badly and did not need to go to the hospital.
The suspect is described as a thin white man, between 5'10" and 6' tall,dark hair and a clean-shaven face. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. He is also believed to have been carrying a handgun in his sweatshirt, but police said he did not pull it out.
