Shooting victims says she got in fight over narcotics

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Knoxville police say a woman showed up to Mercy Medical Center with a gunshot wound in the lower torso.

The woman, Dorothy Curie, told police she went to Western Heights near Oldham Avenue to buy narcotics with her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend. When they got there, they got into a fight over the narcotics. Curie says she was walking away when she got shot.

Her daughter took her to Mercy Medical Center but she was transferred to UT Medical Center. Police say her injuries are non-life threatening.

There's no description on a suspect, but if you have any information you're asked to call Knoxville police.
