KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Authorities announced the arrest of the man suspected of robbing First Tennessee Bank late Wednesday morning.

Members of the FBI qand KPD's Major Crime Unit arrested Leroy Brooks around 11:15 a.m. The 26 year-old is facing federal charges of Bank Robbery.

Officials said the suspect walked into the bank on Western Ave. around 2:45 p.m. on Monday and handed the teller a note demanding money. He then allegedly reached across the counter and took money from the teller area. He then fled the bank and left the scene in a mid-90's burgundy sedan.
