KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Two homeless men were arrested for breaking into a Knoxville convenience store on Wednesday, Knoxville Police said.
Authorities said the two men, Sandy Proffitt, 51, and Troy Collins, 26, entered the Central Convenience Store, 2240 Keith Ave., through the roof, grabbed some beer and were headed back to their camp near Schofield Ave. and Virginia Ave.
Proffitt was caught as he tried to leave the store, carrying beer, while Collins was captured a little later with the help of witnesses. Both men were charged with Public Intoxication and Burglary.
