"Suspicious" house fire possibly linked to rape case

LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - A Loudon County home on Davis Ferry Road burned to the ground earlier this morning. Deputies tell us there could be a link between the fire and the home-owner's son who's in custody.

Nineteen year-old Brandon Myers was arrested on a rape charge on Saturday September 10th.

The criminal report states that Mr. Myers and two other men led a woman into a back bedroom, of the now burnt home, and raped her.

That incident has investigators looking closer at the cause of the fire.

Loudon County Sheriff's Lt. Investigator Patrick Upton said, "We're not for sure this is an arson but there's some suspicious circumstances that involves this home."

A K-9 unit searched the scene and suspects have been interviewed. As for Brandon Myers, he remains in jail charged with felony rape and his bond is set at $25,000.

Loudon sex perves! I think this one Myers guy's father is one that is a druggie and has been in trouble numerous times. You can't blame the father for burning down the guy's house that raped his daughter...duh! If that's what happened. It sounds like authorities are trying to pin it on him anyway. I would probably burn the guy, if it was my daughter.

Here in small town America every body knows everyone and everything too ! I hate that these men took a innocent child that goes to school with my daughter doped her drink , brutaly stole her innocense while the father sat in in that same house . Lets think about things people would this make you proud ? No it would not ! This would ruin most of us to be savagly molested by a gang of men . If it had been my daughter I think things would have been worse ! They wouldn't be in jail the house would still be there and, I would be in jail for taking care of the problem . May god bless the girl and her family !!!
