MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Investigators say the body of a West Tennessee woman who has been missing for more than a month was found in a wooded area in Dyer County.
Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Special Agent John Mehr tells the Associated Press that the body of Karen Swift was found Saturday. Mehr said authorities are treating the case as a homicide investigation.
The mother of four had not been seen since late October. Dyer County residents had joined authorities in searching for Swift.
