Text offer leads to arrest in Cookeville iPod theft

Police in Cookeville, Tenn., say a man texted a woman, offering to sell her an iPod she had reported stolen a day earlier.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Police in Cookeville, Tenn., say a man texted a woman, offering to sell her an iPod she had reported stolen a day earlier.

19-year-old Andrew Scott Gretzinger of Crossville was arrested after the unidentified woman notified police about the $50 offer.

Officers said the woman agreed to set up a meeting with the text sender, and Gretzinger was arrested at the meeting site. He was charged with possession of stolen property and faces a July 11 court date.

    you guys need to get you facts straight before you put a story out.he didn't get arrested and he didn't steal the i pod.
