Three arrested following Powell pharmacy robbery

POWELL, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Three people were arrested for their involvement in a robbery at Powell pharmacy Monday night, according to the Knox Co. Sheriff's Office.

One of the men, Kenneth Tyree, is accused of walking into the CVS on East Emory Rd. and walking up to the pharmacy counter. He then allegedly lifted his shirt, displaying a handgun, and demanded pain medicine. After getting the pills, he fled on foot.

Not long after that, officers stopped a suspect vehicle along Norris Freeway where they reportedly found a weapon and stolen medication. They took Tyree back to the CVS where witnesses identified him as the suspect.

He was charged with Aggravated Robbery and is being held on a $50,000 appearance bond.

The two other men in the car, Cody Davis and Gregory Graves, confessed to their involvement in the planning and execution of the robbery. They were charged with Aggravated Robbery and Facilitation of Aggravated Robbery respectively.
