NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A Nashville police officer's attempt to stop a driver for a faulty brake light has led to robbery and auto theft charges.
A police report states an officer turned on his blue lights to pull over a Toyota Camry on Monday night, but the driver pulled into an apartment complex and bailed out of the car.
A K9 unit was called and a dog named Neeko found Ryan Anthony hiding behind a stack of firewood and bit him. The 21-year-old Anthony was then identified as a suspect in the robbery of a pizza delivery employee Monday afternoon.
Police say Anthony was also driving a stolen car with pizza boxes and an air pistol in it.
He's charged with auto theft and aggravated robbery. He was also treated for a dog bite.
