KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Three people were arrested in connection with the robbery of a local credit union sixteen months ago, the FBI announced on Thursday.
Clyde J. Hubbard, 23 Jimmie Dean Wells III, 23, and Stephawn Lashawn Lewis, 23, are accused of robbing Knox Co. Teachers Federal Credit Union, 301 S. Gallagher View Rd., on May 7, 2010. All three are facing state charges of Bank Robbery.
The trio were rounded up over the past four days, with Hubbard being arrested on Monday. Wells was caught the next day and Lewis was captured on Thursday.
They were arrested following a joint effort by the FBI with the Knoxville Police Dept., the Oak Ridge Police Dept., and the Oliver Springs Police Dept.
