HARLAN, Ky. (WVLT) -- Kentucky State Police say a man was shot and killed during a standoff after an armed robbery.
It happened late Friday at the Dollar General in the Coldiron community.
KSP says 50-year-old Neil Saylor went into the store with a gun to get money.
When troopers arrived, they say he refused to comply with their orders to drop the weapon. There was a standoff for several hours.
Troopers say they shot Saylor when he allegedly became aggressive.
His body has been taken to the state medical examiners office in Frankfort for an autopsy.
A Kentucky State Police Shoot Team has responded to investigate.
