KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Two women were arrested in Sevier County and each were charged with felony theft and possession of shoplifting tools.

Sevierville police say on April 6th, Zipporah Jean Williams pulled into a parking lot at the Tanger Five Oaks Mall then Ashley Victoria Clark got out of the SUV.

Clark went into a store and concealed over $1,200 worth of merchandise in a booster bag, a bag specifically designed prevent alarms from going off, and then left without paying.

When Clark exited the store, Williams began to put the vehicle in gear. Sevierville Police stopped Clark, who was hiding in front of the vehicle.

Williams gave consent to search the vehicle, where police found another booster bag in the backseat floorboard.
