KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Two people were arrested on burglary charges after a homeowner came home while they were still in the house Sunday morning, according to Knoxville police reports.
Alex J. Townsend, 26, and Robert D. Boran, Jr., 24, face Aggravated Burglary charges, while Townsend was also charged with Possession of Burglary Tools and Theft.
Neighbors called police around the time the homeowner arrived at the home in the 8000 block of Elderberry. By the time officers got there suspects had taken off, one of the reportedly with a knife in his hand.
The neighbors and the victim were able to describe the suspects and the vehicle they left in. Another officer spotted the vehicle near the intersection of Kingston Pike and Morrell Road and pulled it over.
Townsend was the only one in the vehicle at the time, but Boran was found at his home about an hour later. Authorities said they also found several stolen items in Townsend's vehicle, including some taken several weeks ago from a home on Wilson Road.
