McDonald's in West Knox County burglarized

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- More than $2,000 is missing from a McDonald's on Kingston Pike in West Knox County.

Deputies say a masked man entered the store around 2:00 a.m. Friday with a key and got the cash out of the safe.

An employee reported the money missing around 7:00 a.m.

Deputies say the caller told them the suspect walked and looked like a former employee. That person still has keys to the restaurant and knows the passcode to the safe.

Investigators are reviewing video and fingerprints.
