LONDON, Ky. (WVLT) -- A 57 year-old Williamsburg man is facing charges of sexually assaulting a minor at a home in Whitley Co., according to Kentucky State Police.

Steven Douglas, Jr. was arrested and charged with one count of Rape 1st and two counts of Sexual Abuse 1st, according to police. He was taken to the Whitley Co. Detention Center.

Reports indicate that shortly before midnight on June 30, the Kentucky State Police's London post received word of an alleged sexual assault of a child at a home on Browns Creek. The trooper who responded found the juvenile had been assaulted and arrested Douglas.

The next day two search warrants were executed, one at the home on Browns Creek and the other at the Taylor Apartments where Douglas lives.
