WINCHESTER, Tenn. (AP) -- A Franklin County grand jury has indicted the former city finance director of Winchester with a variety of charges after money was stolen.
Mary Faye Morrow is charged with theft, forgery, tampering and misconduct. The 63-year-old Morrow is the third public official arrested this year in Franklin County, according to the Chattanooga Times Free Press.
Morrow was booked into the county jail Tuesday afternoon and is free on $10,000 bond. It wasn't clear whether she yet had an attorney.
TBI investigators said Morrow is accused of stealing more than $60,000 from city residents.
In May, Winchester City Council member Cheyne Stewart was arrested on charges that include aggravated rape.
Franklin County Commissioner John Anthony Page was charged on drug and promoting prostitution charges last month.
