TUNICA, Miss. (AP) -- The Tunica County Sheriff's Department has arrested eight women for alleged prostitution at several casinos.
The Commercial Appeal reports the department's criminal investigation division and the special operation division set up an undercover detail called "Operation Go Get Her" at several casinos last Friday and Saturday nights.
All the suspects arrested and charged with prostitution are in their 20s, and all listed Memphis addresses.
Tunica County spokesman Larry Liddell said no other arrests were made.
The suspects appeared in Tunica County Justice Court Monday, where their bond was set at $5,000 each. An arraignment hearing in Justice County is scheduled next Thursday.
The fine for prostitution is $200 and/or six months in jail.
