SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Appalachian Bear Rescue has welcomed bear Number 259 this week after it was found abandoned in Sevier County.

Bear cub Otto was found without his mother by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. The male cub is said to be about two months old and weighs just a little over four pounds. They delivered the bear to ABR. It is currently at the Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine undergoing examinations.

After checkups, Otto will return back to The Cub Nursery at ABR.

ABR also released Summitt, another bear at the facility, back into a wild enclosure.
