DIY hanging potted plants

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Many of you are getting your plants out for Spring. This is an idea to spruce up your garden or even house some indoor plants.

All you need is yarn (for indoor plants, you'll want something more sturdy like rope for outdoor plants) and a ring, which can be metal or wooden. The craft also requires a small pot and the plant of your choice.

Cut the yard or rope about an arm's length four times. Take the four strings and fold them into a knot to make eight strands. The knot should tie around the ring. Tie two pieces together at a time to make four knots, then repeat. Tie all the ends together and place the pot in the yarn.

It's important to make sure all the knots are even so the pot will sit in the yarn evenly.

One pot (without the plant) will cost you under $5.
