1920s themed barber shop roars into downtown area

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)- A new barber shop opening in Knoxville is taking us back to the 1920s.

E.D. Bailey Barbers opened last week. Inside of Knoxville blogger, Alan Sims, spoke with the owner.

"It'll open just across the tracks on Central and he's from Serbia. He has this whole backstory of how he got here. A guy born in Serbia is opening a shop in Knoxville and I find that downtown is full of those kinds of stories," said Sims.

Zoran Stepanov and his family moved to Knoxville about a year and a half ago from Chicago but was born in Serbia and left soon after the civil war started.

The shop is located at 303 North Central Street. You can read more about Stepanov here here.
