Behind the Kitchen Door

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Only one restaurant failed its inspection, according to the Knox Co. Health Dept., in this week's Behind the Kitchen Door.

Mandarin Palace, 3001 Knoxville Center., scored a 68. Inspectors
Found food at unsafe temperatures, shrimp thawing in standing water, dirty kitchen equipment, and food containers not labeled.

Not all the news was bad, though. Twelve restaurants scored above ninety, including:

Pizza Hut, 7017 Kingston Pike, 92
Mellow Mushroom, 635 Campbell Station, 94
Pizza Kitchen, 9411 Northshore, 94
Krystal, 6725 Maynardville Hwy., 95
Tea at the Gallery, 4501 Kingston Pike, 95
Whass Up Dog, 7218 Chapman Hwy., 97
