Ingredients
4 cups each, cornbread and biscuit crumbs
2 medium onions, minced
4 stalks celery, cut small
2 tsp each black pepper and salt
ground cayenne pepper to taste (1/2 tsp for warm, 1 tsp for hot)
1 to 2 TBSP rubbed sage
2 cups water
4 cups (approx) turkey broth
Directions
Place onion and celery in a saucepan with water and bring to a boil. Place the rest of the ingredients, except broth, in a large mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly and pour onion-celery mixture over. Add broth and stir until mixture is soft but still holds its shape. Taste and adjust seasonings as necessary. Place in a greased 9x13 dish and bake in a 350 deg oven until browned and firm (about 1 hour).
