Cinnamon Apple Syrup Tuesday, February 19, 2008


2 apples, peeled, cored and chopped fine
1 TBSP butter
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup water
1/2 tsp cinnamon


In a saucepan, melt butter and saute apples until soft. Stir frequently. Stir in sugar and water. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Simmer until thick. Stir in cinnamon and pour over freshly made pan cakes. Keep warm. This syrup will turn back to sugar if allowed to stand.
