Ingredients

A Dollywood recipe

Note: This makes 5 gallons. For home recipe, divide everything by 5.

5 cups sugar
1 1/3 cups brown sugar
3 tsp pumpkin pie spice
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp allspice
53 oz pumpkin puree
2 1/2 gallons ice cream mix
4 oz vanilla

Directions

Mix together the pumpkin puree, sugar, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and allspice. Once blended add to the ice cream mix. Freeze for approx 45 minutes. Scoop and enjoy.

All these divisions can be approximate. You should note that the "ice cream mix" is a combination of whole milk and cream. For the home freezer, I would use about 1/4 gallon of milk and an equal amount of half and half. That will make a nice, rich ice cream.
