Ingredients

I bug you all the time about using Food City’s 93/7 extra lean ground beef. Do not use it for grilled hamburgers. They get too dry on the grill and can fall apart. Use 75/25. Mix it with some soy sauce (about 2 TBSP per lb) and a little hot sauce if you are into that. Shape them into patties and place on a hot grill. Turn only once. And you have a great burger. Add some ketchup or bbq sauce if you want more flavor in the meat as well as on it. I enjoy sautéing some onion which I have chopped fairly fine and working that into the meat before I cook it.

Directions

If you want baked beans, use my simple version. Some good Bush’s baked beans in a casserole. Cover the top with thinly slice onion and then cover the onions with bottled chili sauce. Bake about 50 minutes at 350 deg or until thick and bubbly. For potato salad, look for “My Mother’s Potato Salad” which I did at Cades Cove recently.
