Peerless Steak House

2 1/2 lbs Brown Gourmet Mushrooms
1/2 cup favorite sherry wine
1 stick butter
1 small Vidalia onion
1 TBSP Garlic Powder
1 tsp medium grain black pepper
1 TBSP granulated onion
Salt to taste


Clean mushrooms in sink with plenty of water. Melt butter in large sauce pot and add rest of ingredients. Make sure mushrooms are drained well of all water and place in saucepot. Place lid on top. Every few minutes stir well. Mushrooms will shrink. Do not overcook. Approximately 20-25 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit for about an hour uncovered. Ok to refrigerate up to 3 days, re warm for party.
