Whitlestop Black Angus Hamburgers Wednesday, July 25, 2007


1 3/4 cups dry bread crumbs
2.5 oz milk
1 oz bacon fat (leftover when you fry bacon)
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
2 TBSP garlic, chopped fine
Black Angus ground beef (about 2 1/2 lbs for this amount of seasoning)


Mix all ingredients together except the bacon fat. Once mixed, then add the bacon fat last and mix well again. Shape the meat into even patties. Place on hot grill and cook to your desired doneness. Yields 8 hamburgers. The folks at Dollywood say they prefer ground chuck for this.
