Chocolate Chess Pie Wednesday, May 29, 2013


1 cup sugar
¼ cup cocoa
4 TBSP butter, melted and cooled
2 TBSP flour
2 TBSP corn meal
3 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla


Mix the sugar, cocoa, flour and cornmeal. Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Stir in the melted butter. Add the milk slowly until fully blended and then the vanilla. Pour into an unbaked 9 inch pastry shell and bake in a preheated 350 deg oven for 40 minutes or until puffed and brown. Allow to cool before serving.
