Grand Slam Hot Dog Casserole Monday, May 27, 2013


1 pkg franks (use your favorite brand)
buns to match the number of franks
mustard and sweet relish to taste
4 cups milk
4 eggs
½ tsp each salt and pepper
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated


Place a frank into each bun and arrange in a 9x13 inch baking dish with the frank showing. Spread mustard and relish down the center of each. Beat together the milk and eggs and pour evenly over the hot dogs in the dish. Allow to stand about 30 minutes before baking about 35 to 40 minutes in a 350 deg oven. When puffed and brown, remove from oven and spread a thick layer of cheese over the top. Return to the oven until the cheese is melted and starting to brown. Allow to cool before serving.
