Hand Dipped Strawberries Monday, February 11, 2013

Ingredients

Garden of Learning Discovery Center

2 pound pack of strawberries (firm strawberries - free from bruises)
2 pounds of white and milk chocolate to melt ( chocolate bark, candy melts
or chocolate discs)
1 bag of sweetened shredded coconut (toasted) - 7oz
1 bag of pecan cookie pieces - 8oz
1 bag of real semi-sweet mini-chocolate chip morsels - 12oz
Wax paper
5 medium bowls (deep)

Directions

Pour coconut, pecan cookie pieces, and mini-chocolate chips in three separate bowls. Wash and dry strawberries (do not remove the stem or leaves). Melt chocolate in microwave or in double boiler. Stir often. Dip strawberries in white and milk chocolate. Drizzle. Dip strawberries in white chocolate and immediately in coconut for coconut strawberries. Dip strawberries in milk chocolate and immediately in pecans and mini-chocolate chips for pecan and chocolate chip strawberries.

Let dry on wax paper. Enjoy!
