KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- How would you like new recipes and contribute to the Ronald McDonald House?

The Sisters of the Skillet can help.

Jennifer Alexander, mid-day personality on B-97.5 met Mary Constantine, food writer for the News Sentinel through an employee at her radio station. It was Mary's son.

Mary says, "I had tons and tons of cookbooks that I was trying to give away through the newspaper. And I knew if I partnered with Jennifer who already had a book club, that it would be easier to give them out."

That partnership turned into cooking demos and newsletters for hundreds of hungry followers.

Jennifer says, "There are tons and tons of things going on from cooking classes to festivals and we try to let everyone know about that."

They recently created their own cookbook with their favorite recipes and ones from family, friends and followers.

Proceeds feed the Ronald McDonald House.

It's a home families can stay at while they kids are treated at a local hospital.

Jennifer tells us, "We did a cooking demo at there."

Mary adds, "We saw Sue Beverly's office and saw the tiny hand prints that cover the walls, it was so touching."

Jennifer says, "We were so moved by that, (and all the thank you letters) we knew we had to do something to help them raise money. They need to raise money to keep that house going."

The cookbooks can be purchased by grabbing a link to the Sisters of the Skillet website.

"There are so many fun things with this. To cook and be so passionate about something and help people at the same time, is beyond anything I could have ever imagined," says Jennifer.
