FARRAGUT, Tenn (WVLT) -- You've heard of Mayor Tim Burchett's "Cash Mobs" to help mom and pop shops in Knox County stay alive.
Well, "Knoxville's Leading Women" created a spin-off, they call a "Cash Infusion!"
The group of thirty- fifty professional women meet once a week, usually at the Chop House out in West Knoxville to network with each other.
They range in professions from web site design, to staffing, health and life insurance sales.
KLW Director, Rena Amerson says,,"We meet to bring leads to one another. If someone needs to know who works at a certain business someone in the group surely knows someone there."
This Wednesday, the group changed things up. They moved the meeting to the Blue Sky Cafe in Farragut.
Amerson explains, "It's one of my favorites, it's tucked away and not a lot of people know about it and want to bring it to people's attention."
Networking over a breakfast buffet, Knoxville's Leading Women call it a "Cash Infusion."
Martina Kitts, owner of the cafe says, "We are thrilled, so happy. People forget that we are here, and being new is the other side of it, it's hard, really hard."
The group got the idea from Burchett's cash mobs.
Mayor Tim Burchett who attended as a guest this week, along with others invited says, "I'm tickled to death and we need to support local businesses or we will lose everything if we don't."
And, these women plan to move their meetings around.
"We're thinking we may do this once a month, it may be another restaurant or a business," says, Amerson.
Blue Sky Cafe is in Farragut near the middle school.
