BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn (WVLT) -- More than 1000 children have found forever homes thanks to Harmony Adoptions.
Pam Wolf, founded the non profit agency in 1996 after she adopted Anna Li from China. A six month old abondoned baby girl, left on the police department steps.
Pam says, "When I brought her home everyone asked where is she from? Tell me the story. So, I decided I would just start an agency."
They specialize in children in the welfare system, who are neglected, abandoned, or unwanted.
"Those kids have been through things you can't even imagine, they've seen so much in their lifetime. There is abuse, neglect and trauma that is unbelievable, according to Pam."
She calls the families who adopt these special children, heroes.
The agency could use volunteers for many events, and for mentoring.
