SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn (WVLT) -- There are many senior citizens in our area who are forgotten around the holidays, either they don't have family close by or they don't have any relatives.

But you can be sure they get a little something, by being a Santa to a Senior.

There are 14 stores in Sevier, Hamblen, Sevier, Grainger, Cocke and Jefferson Counties that are participating.

Home Instead (a senior health program) put up trees with names and wish lists on them.

People pick an ornament with the name and wish list on it from a tree, make the purchase and return the unwrapped gifts with the name tag to the participating store.

The gift requests are simple things like blankets, toiletries and even non perishable food.

This is the fifth year and they plan on helping 300-400 seniors, with your help.
