KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT)-- Ever watch paint dry? Well add to it, cold and damp weather, and it'll take a little while longer.
But weather didn't dampen spirits at The Extreme Makeover Home build this past week.
CertaPro Painters of Knoxville along with countless companies and individuals had a lot of patience when it came to the weather, as they spread their skills and talents and time across the "Extreme" site on Robinson Road.
It's the biggest charitable project CertaPro has ever been involved in, and owner Jeff Brown says they will continue to do more.
They had about 30 painters at the site over the course of the project.
CertaPro followed the designers' plans for the duplex, and painted inside and out.
Brown could not disclose any details other than a lot of color was used.
He credits other volunteers, helping his crew by running and washing out brushes.
Brown says everyone pitched in where needed, even as they arrived to paint, his crew helped with laying sheet-rock.
Brown told us as his company has grown, he is grateful he can help on such an enormous and quick project involving volunteer spirit.
Extreme Makeover Home Edition airs the Knoxville build near Thanksgiving 2012.
