KNOXVILLE, Tenn.(WVLT) -- They are some of the most elaborate ornaments in the world: Each one meticulously crafted in Poland and carefully sent to its Knoxville-based home.
Lisa Kelechava, President of Joy to the World, says Poland has made beautiful ornaments for years.
"We think the Poles took it to a different level," she says.
Each Joy to the World ornament takes seven days to complete, from blowing the glass to the final touches of glitter, each step done by hand.
Knoxville-based Joy to the World ornaments began in 1998.
The "glitterazzi" collection is simply stunning.
"We're using sapphires in a Russian Santa piece that is pretty spectacular and a Russian egg actually has 42 gemstones, and we're using white topaz, garnets, and Citroen which makes a ring on that particular piece very sought after by collectors," says Kelechava.
"The biggest one is the pet category," she says, explaining that there are over 200 different styles of dogs and cats.
