1 dead, 5 hurt in fiery Knox County, Ky crash

FLAT LICK, Ky. (WVLT) -- Kentucky State Police say five people were hurt and another died in an accident on Turkey Creek Road in Knox County around 1:50 AM Saturday.

Troopers say the Pontiac G6 was being driven by a juvenile. He was going north when the car when off the road, flipped, and caught fire.

Four passengers were taken to landing zones to be flown to the University of Tennessee and University of Kentucky.

Another passenger was treated at the scene.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

No names have been released.
