Eight New Children's Recalls

Knoxville (WVLT) -- There are several new recalls to pass along and all of them deal with children's products.

The first deals with crib maker Kolcraft.

Kolcraft announced today that they are recalling around 425,000 of their "Travel Play Yards" after the death of a child.

Officials say a 10 month old boy was strangled on the changing table's strap.

Also one the 12 recalled styles has a raised cradle that rocks.

If the child gets trapped to one side they could suffocate.

RC2 announced they will recall about 200,000 Thomas and Friends wooden railway toys are also under recall.

The recall involves the all black Cargo car, Toad vehicle, olive green Sodor Cargo Box, the All Green Maple Tree Top and Signal Base accessories.

RC2 is also recalling about 800 Knights of the Sword toys.

They were sold at specialty stores nationwide from April 2004 through March 2006.

350,000 Happy Giddy gardening tools and Children's Sunny Patch chairs are also being recalled.

The products were sold at Target from August 2006 through August 2007.

If you have them, you should not allow your children to play with the products any longer and return them to Target for a refund.

Another recall involves about 16,000 children's toy rakes.

They were sold by Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores nationwide from January 2007 through September 2007.

The rakes have a green handle with a yellow duck head on it.

You can take the product back to Jo-Ann Stores for a refund.

Guidecraft Inc. is recalling 10,000 children's puppet theaters.

They have a chalkboard surface on the front and colored side panels.

The toys were sold online and in specialty stores from June 2006 though August 2007.

Rhode Island Novelty has recalled nearly 850 children's spinning wheel metal necklaces.

They are 30 inch long link necklaces with a spinning wheel pendant.

And finally, about 23,000 Toby & Me jewelry sets are being recalled.

They were sold in a variety of styles that come in a pink gift box with "Toby & Me" printed on the front.

The jewelry sets were sold at TJ Maxx, Marshalls, AJ Wright, Cracker Barrel and Shopko stores from August 2006 to August 2007
